Accounting: Financial management for optimal performance is taught 100% online. It consists of four modules, an online video conference and assessment.

The mode of instruction will include self-paced study with practical activities or discussion forums, quizzes, case study analysis, presentations and an online conference.

On successful completion of the subject students will be able to:

  1. Understand the key financial statements – P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  2. Distinguish the primary purpose of management accounts from that of audited financial statements
  3. Develop a commercial understanding of key accounting concepts such as accrual vs cash accounting, working capital, EBIT/EBITDA amongst others
  4. Analyse and interpret financial statements
