Significant, client-driven changes in legal delivery are occurring around the globe putting pressure on traditional ways of doing business.

There are many forums where innovation is discussed but few which allow for the opportunity for guided learning. This short six-week subject is designed to enable you to fashion innovative solutions to legal service delivery challenges.

On successful completion of the subject students will be able to:

  1. Assess the impact of client-driven changes and global trends in legal services on their organisation and the legal sector
  2. Evaluate how innovation contributes to business strategy and competitive advantage
  3. Critically analyse the challenges facing innovators and the skills legal industry professionals need to meet changes in the marketplace
  4. Identify the conditions and strategies needed to implement innovative solutions for legal industry problems
  5. Apply a strategic perspective to evaluating the role of innovation and the tools and processes that promote innovative solutions

The subject is led by two leaders in innovation in legal services – Mark Cohen and Alison Laird.
